Thank yous...
We just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts, cards and warm wishes for Brady on his birthday. All were very appreciated. We sent out the thank you cards this week so hopefully you'll all get them soon. We are very blessed to have each of you in our lives.
Family Visit
Nick and I are very excited to have our family come into town. I know we just left them, but we miss them dearly and can't wait to see them. Coming to town are my mom and dad, both my sisters and their spouses and of course little jack-a-roo. They will be spending their 3 weeks back and forth between our house and Mindy's. It's going to be a lot of fun. On the agenda while they are here is Brady's Baptism on August 1st, Mindy's baby shower and hospital tour, trips to the San Diego Zoo, beaches and La Brea tar pits and a trip to the Children's Hospital for Jack where we hope they find out what is the matter with him. It's going to fly by, but we can't wait for it. Travel safely everyone.
Separation Anxiety
I think we are in for a treat or not so much. Brady is starting to develop some separation anxiety and stranger danger. He is screaming and yelling when we leave and throws fits for up to an hour or more. If any of you have thoughts or suggestions on how to handle, we're all ears!

One Year Check-up
Poor BMan, he had to go to the doctor today for his one-year appointment and it didn't go so well. Even before Brady got the shots, he was screaming and yelling and really upset at the doctor. For whatever reason he did not like him at all. I've never seen Brady react this way to a person before, it was so strange. He got so worked up his face was almost purple from the screaming and yelling. Not a pretty site. And then it all really went to hell when he got poked. To say he was unhappy is an understatement.
As per his stats though, things are looking good. He weighed in at 22.2 lbs, she put 30 inches long, but I think we're going to remeasure since he was squirming so much and his head measured in at 47 cm. That puts him a little less than the 50th percentile for his weight, between the 75th and 90th percentile for height and above the 75th percentile for his head. He's growing quite well and the doc said developmentally he's doing wonderful. Good news all around.
