Playing Catch up.

It's been a while since our last post and since we last sent out pictures, so tonight is the night for blogging. To catch everyone up, it's the month of family visits and we're very excited about it. Grandpa Denny and Uncle Jimmy were with us for a week and we went to Phoenix to watch some spring training games and go golfing. Mom and Brady went more for the relaxation than anything. A few days after they left my parents and Aunt Mindy and Uncle Chris arrived. Chris and Mindy only stayed for a night, but my parents are still here and taking Brady with them tomorrow to San Diego. Yes, it will be our first time leaving Brady overnight, it's going to be crazy. I'm glad it will be with family, but it's still going to be really hard leaving him. After the first time we do it, I'm sure it will be easier for the next time, hopefully. If this tells you anything about how crazy it's going to be leaving Brady, last week we left him only for the second time with someone who was not a family member, and I think only the third of fourth time in general. We had a wedding to go to and mom let loose. I didn't even finish three drinks and I was in rare form...luckily no hangovers though.

Any who, back to our family visits...we are joining my parents and Brady at Aunt Mindy and Uncle Chris's on Thursday after work and will stay through Saturday and then my parents head home.

Finishing up the family visits will be Grandma Judy and Aunt Terri. They are coming out for a couple of weeks not only to see Brady, but to help Nick and i out as our daycare closes for spring break and they are going to watch him. Poor Brady is going to hate going back to daycare after getting all this love and attention this month (not that he doesn't at daycare, but it's different with family)...I have loved having all the family here with him and us. It makes me really homesick, but we have to do what we have to do, right.

Other than that, things are still the same old same. Same job, no big trips planned and having loads of fun with the Bman.

Here's hoping this update finds you all well.

Getting ready for Easter

Happy Easter...mom's little bunny!

Mohawk

I was putting sunblock on Brady and got a little carried away so I gave him a Mohawk...he finally has enough hair to give him one! We're wondering if by his first birthday he'll be ready for a haircut.

Little Einstein...

Brady's cousin Jack is a little Einstein reading his periodic table. For those of you that don't know, my sister Nicki is a science teacher which makes this photo even cuter!

Slurpn Pasgetti!!!!

We have been experimenting more and more with solid foods and we let Brady try spaghetti the other night and he actually slurped it. We couldn't resist getting a shot.

Spring Training Games...

Brady went to his first spring training game a couple of weeks ago and had a blast. Dad, Jimmy and Grandpa had real seats, but mom and Brady toughed it out in the grass near the kid zone. Brady was quite the social bug crawling to all the tables and talking to people passing by. He even made a few friends with some of the older kids. One kid even made him a paper airplane, it was so cute!

Phoenix Trip

Here are some photos from our brief trip to Phoenix with Grandpa, Uncle Jimmy and Dad. Brady loved the lazy river and swimming in the pool. He also loved banning his hammer on the hotel bookshelf (oops!!!) luckily no dents were left. He also had his first date with Kinsley, so all was good, but she broke his little heart when she left.

More Park Photos

Brady At the Park

Saturday was such a beautiful day we decided to take Brady to the park. He just loves to people watch and run around in the grass. We put him on the swings and let him go down the slides too. He's a little small to let him do it on his own, but he enjoyed it all the same. This is the second week in a row we've taken him to a park and he's loving the outdoors.

Nine Month Dr. Appointment

Friday was Brady's nine month Dr. appointment and shots. We got some shocking information on his height and weight. He weighed in at 18lbs 13 oz which is in the 25th percentile for weight and he is 29 inches putting him in the 75th percentile for height. The doctor says at this rate he should be at least 6 feet tall. I was a little concerned about the weight, but the doctor wasn't. He showed us the chart and how Brady started out and I quote "a little chunky" but now he's doing good and he can tell he's a very active boy. Which he's right about that, we can barely keep up with him, I wonder what it's going to be like when he's walking.

The shots didn't go as well this time around though. He got a really big red mark and a huge bruise and of course the fevers. He is actually sick right now, got kicked out of daycare AGAIN. Ahh the joys of germ factories. I am staying home with him tomorrow as he can't return until the fever has been gone for 24 hours. I hope he feels better soon. Send some love his way.
