My First Tear

Yesterday Brady and I were running errands and visiting friends from around 8:30am to 4:oopm and I think he had enough at our last appointment around 3:30 because we saw our first tear. I was dropping bags off at Goodwill and the floodgates opened up. I parked the car and climbed in the backseat until I could get him settled down enough to go home. It was so hard to see the very first tears, poor little man. I am sure they are not the last tears I'll see though.

Week 11 Weigh-In...

We've been out of town since August 4th and were unable to attend our weekly weigh-ins at Loving Support so we were really anxious to see how much weight Brady has gained in the last three weeks. When we left he weighed 11lbs 13oz and yesterday he tilted the scale at a whopping 14.1lbs. This boys just keeps gaining more and more weight. Nick and I thought it would be fun to measure his girth and his belly measures 18inches around...that's one inch less than his height at birth. I think he's going to be a fullback or a center for sure...I'm not seeing a skinny lanky golfer in this boy, sorry daddy! :-)

I'm So Confused...

With each parent rooting for a different big ten team Brady has his work cut out for him. The picture says it all!! Believe me when I say it's even worse when it comes to professional football...will he be a Colts, Browns, 49ers, or Steelers fan...so many choices! Can you tell we're excited football is back :-).

Ohio Trip...

Nick and I returned yesterday from our trip back to the Midwest. We spent the 4-12 in MI and the 12-19 in Ohio. While in Ohio we took Brady to his first Indians game, went to Nick's 10 year class reunion, and Nick took my dad and Russ with his family on a charter fishing trip (his Uncle Todd owns the charter company). It was a whirlwind trip, but a lot of fun and wonderful to see all the family. Both of Nick's grandparents got to see Brady for the first time and of course fell in love with him. It was really hard to leave, but something we have to do. Each trip back home gets harder and harder to leave. We miss the family lots and it was great to see everyone.

Now that we're back in Cali we're in Irvine for a conference and then head to San Diego for a concert. We end our travels on Saturday and are so looking forward to finally being at home, I have lots to do and to prepare for before I go back to work on the 15th.

The pix are from the Ohio trip, hope you enjoy them!

MI Pics

MI Trip

Brady's trip to Michigan was so much fun! He had several "first" experiences. He had his first plane ride, met his cousin Jack for the first time, road on boat , and met several family members for the first time.

We were so impressed with him traveling. We were really worried about how he would react to the flight and elevation change, but it didn't phase him at all. We were lucky and had a red eye flight so it was bed time anyways. He only fussed during the last 10 minutes of the flight, after four hours I would be a little fussy too. We had people coming up to us after the flight saying how incredibly well behaved he was and how they couldn't believe he didn't cry once. You could say Nick and I were very proud parents.

Brady and Jack loved meeting for the first time. It was so much fun having the two little monsters together. I can't believe how much bigger Jack is than Brady and Jack is only 4 1/2 months old. He is such a little ham and super cute. He is so precious and I'm glad I FINALLY got the chance to meet him. We were so excited to have the boys together we got professional pictures taken. They turned out so cute. I can't wait til they come in and we'll post them online.
He really enjoyed his boat ride with Grandpa Lehman too. He got to be the captain for a little while and cousin Jack let him borrow his life jacket. it was still a little big, but Brady enjoyed chewing on it.

Toward the end of the trip we went to Lansing where both sides of my family threw a "Meet Brady" party at my Aunt Therese's house. A lot of the family was there and they all got to meet the little guy. I think he was a little wore out from the car ride and week of activity because he slept almost the entire day, he was such a good baby.

We ended the MI trip with a visit to our cottage. He did pretty good considering all the travel he had been through. Gma and Gpa Enders joined us at the cottage and took us to Ohio where we are currently spending the week. More updates to come about the OH trip when we return home.
